Frequently asked questions

Where are you based?

Yavelle is an Australian founded company with stock held in Australia
and the USA for fast local fulfilment in both markets.

Where is your water produced?

We source our water in the USA, where the water undergoes the highest level of testing for cleanliness and effectiveness.

What is your shipping policy?

Shipping is free in Australia and the USA. Local shipping times will vary, so please see our dedicated shipping page.

Do you offer subscription plans?

Yes. Many people incorporate DDW into their long-term daily hydration
routine. We offer discounted subscription plans on all our boxes so you
never run out and always save money.

Does Deuterium Depleted Water (DDW) taste bad?

No, quite the opposite. The taste of DDW is largely indistinguishable from that of a good quality mineral water.

Is DDW safe for everyone?

For most people, DDW is used like normal drinking water. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or are under medical supervision, you should speak with your doctor or qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or routine.

Can I take DDW with other treatments?

Research published by Dr László G. Boros and colleagues has investigated DDW alongside cancer standard care protocols.

A number of peer reviewed studies conducted in Hungary have explored this area since the 1990's

For the full list of published research visit our Research page.

Always consult your oncologist or healthcare provider before making any changes to your treatment protocol.

Can I use DDW with medications or supplements?

In general, DDW is used as you would use any drinking water. If you have specific medical questions or concerns, consult your healthcare provider.

Does DDW increase your energy?

Research by scientists including Dr László G. Boros has explored the
relationship between deuterium depletion and cellular energy processes.
Many people who incorporate DDW into their daily routine report positive
personal experiences. Individual results will vary. As with any change
to your routine, consult your healthcare provider.

How much DDW should I drink?

Dosage depends a lot on your individual circumstances.
Please see our dedicated dosage page to learn more.

Is DDW supported by Scientific Evidence?

Yes! In fact, there is so much that we can't list it all here. Please see our dedicated science page for a list of articles and links.

I still don’t understand what DDW is.

It does take a moment to wrap your head around, and it is important to do so before starting any treatment. Please see our dedicated page explaining exactly what it is and how it works.

Why is DDW more expensive than regular water?

Lowering deuterium levels is not something standard filtration can achieve. Processes like basic filtration, reverse osmosis, or typical distillation are not designed to selectively reduce deuterium in a meaningful way.

Producing DDW requires specialized, industrial-scale equipment and significant energy input. DDW is produced using low-temperature vacuum rectification, a method designed to separate water molecules based on subtle differences in physical properties.

This requires purpose-built infrastructure (including very
large separation columns), which is why DDW is a premium product.

Can I produce DDW at home?

Sadly not. There are many videos and posts claiming this is possible, but the reality is that the best that can be achieved at home is a drop of a couple of parts per million in deuterium levels. This is not enough to be therapeutically useful.

Yavelle DDW contains roughly 80% less deuterium than normal drinking water, whereas home methods alter the deuterium content of water by a mere 1-2%

Are there side effects?

Yavelle DDW is purified water with reduced deuterium.
It generally produces no side effects, but individual experiences can vary. If you have concerns or if you are managing a health condition, it’s best to consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new protocol.

Can I heat, boil, or freeze DDW?

Yes. Heating, boiling, or freezing does not meaningfully change the deuterium level. What does change deuterium concentration is mixing/dilution with other liquids.

Any precautions I should know about?

If you are pregnant, nursing, or have an illness or medical condition, consult your doctor before beginning a deuterium depletion routine or making significant dietary changes.
