That is genuinely the whole of what we can tell you, but it is worth setting out plainly what DDW is, what it is not, and why we are not going to tell you how to fast.
What Is Actually in the Bottle
DDW contains no calories, no sugar, no protein and nothing your body needs to digest. It is water with less of one naturally occurring isotope, and nothing is added. Nutritionally it is the same as plain water.
So if your fasting routine allows water, deuterium-depleted water is nutritionally the same proposition. There is nothing in the bottle that changes that.
What DDW Is
Deuterium-depleted water is ordinary water in which the proportion of deuterium, a naturally occurring heavier isotope of hydrogen, has been reduced. Typical drinking water sits at around 150 parts per million of deuterium. Yavelle DDW is produced to a 25ppm specification, and every batch is tested against it. Nothing is added and nothing else is changed.
If you would like the detail on how that is done and why the number is verified batch by batch, our article on how deuterium-depleted water is made covers it.
What We Are Not Going to Tell You
We are a water company, not a clinic, and fasting is a bigger decision than which water you put in the glass. How long to fast, how often, whether to fast at all, how much to drink, and what to do about electrolytes are all questions that depend on you — your health, your medications, your circumstances — and they belong with a qualified health practitioner rather than with us.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, underweight, or managing a medical condition or treatment, please talk to a healthcare professional before fasting.
Where to Go Next
Our article on how deuterium-depleted water is made explains the production and testing side, and the low deuterium food list covers the deuterium content of common foods.
